Dr. Priyanka Kalra

Dr. Priyanka Kalra is a budding Psychiatrist from Ludhiana with a rich and practical experience in Child guidance, Marital-sexual health, Geriatric psychiatry, Drug & De-addiction and overall mental well-being. The two centres in Ludhiana that Dr. Priyanka carries out practice are Deep Hospital and Patiala Hospital, the former hospital being her primary hub of practice.

Dr. Kalra studied MBBS from Shri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Amritsar and then successfully completed MD (Psychiatry) from Government Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh. She held a month’s posting at NIMHANS where she attended the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department at NIMHANS under the guidance of Prof. S C Girimaji. In the course of her career, Dr. Kalra has handled a multitude of cases catering to people from various age groups such as children, adolescents and geriatric patients. She has come across a broad spectrum of patients involving Child Psychiatry, Marital-sexual disorders, Geriatric Psychiatry, Adult Psychiatry and substance abuse disorders. She has tended to patients in an indoor, outdoor and community setting. She is equipped with a sound knowledge in managing psychiatric emergencies, consultation Liaison Psychiatry, Neuro-psychiatry and Psychotherapies and possesses an extensive experience in the administration of ECT.

Dr. Kalra has successfully reached out to a diaspora of patients belonging to areas touching Chandigarh due to her community outreach postings. She has organized and conducted de-addiction camps for the benefit of patients with substance abuse.
